#ItEndsNow Campaign

When a woman or girl survives gender based-violence, one will expect an outpour of support. This was not the case in 2018 when survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) took to the stands at the Truth, Reconciliation and Reparations Commission and told their story. They were met with attacks and blamed for an ordeal they wanted no part in. 

This is not the first time women have been shamed and blamed for rape or any sort of sexual violence they have encountered. 

We launched the #ItEndsNow campaign to target erroneous beliefs around SGBV and address the psychosocial issues and consequences of victim blaming and shaming, and the subsequent stigmatization of victims.

Tea, Talks & Detox

Tea, Talks & Detox is a safe space that gives you the opportunity to learn more about mental health, psychosocial issues and trauma. It is an interactive psychoeducation program where you will learn about the warning signs of mental health conditions and what steps to take if you or a loved one are showing symptoms of a mental health condition. You will get the chance to gain understanding of topics in mental health that are often-misunderstood.

This program is free to participants and hosted once a month.

Conversation Clubs

We want to increase mental health literacy so we're taking mental health to schools! Conversations clubs will be aimed at improving mental health literacy levels among young people aged 11-18 years and increasing mental health awareness. We hope that these discussions will facilitate a better understanding of mental health conditions, increases coping skills and empowers young people to become advocates for mental health.
